Living afloat
The story of the Luxe Motor Watergeus, the Groningse snik Hornblower, the klipperaak Aquarel, the lemmeraak 'Op Hoop van Zegen', the Friese maatkast Tordino and how to convert a Dutch barge into a houseboat.

Living Afloat: September 2016

21st September 2016

Besides the conversion of my vessels, there is a big section on this site about how to convert a barge in general. This section hasn't been updated for many years. I will try to update the text and add some more information in the next couple of months. So stay tuned!

20th September 2016

If you discover broken links, please let me know. I'm rewriting some of the pages and this might cause some issues. Sorry for the inconveniences.

In the meantime, the following pages on the blog have been updated or added:

15th September 2016

While updating the information of the last couple of months, I will also try to add more content to my weblog. For now, I've just updated last month. On the journey between Utrecht and London, I took around 1800 pictures....

The idea is to update the other months as well and to correct the text for spelling mistakes.

12th September 2016

The following months were updated. Pictures will follow. I have been busy on several projects, including a crossing to the UK with a barge. I hope to add some more text and updates in the next couple of days.

7th September 2016

Instead of working, we just had another trip on the water. I did have intentions to start working, but it will be for another time.

2nd September 2016

Today, I had to leave a nice group of people behind, to go back to my daily routine in Bruges. I'll be back at some point. I like it to much there. It is more then just a mooring, it is a community.

1st September 2016

Something different, writing my blog with a view on Tower Bridge, fast passing ferries and being shaken all the time.
