A day in Vlissingen

4th May 2019 – I’ve been visiting a lot of maritime museums. One on my list I hadn’t done was the museum in Vlissingen. Certainly worth a visit. I would also recommend visiting the kazematten. There is a separate museum located in these old buildings.

Aquarel – At the yard

1st May 2019 – I went to Lauwersoog in the Netherlands for a special reason. The Aquarel was at the yard by her new owners. She is being fully restored and repainted. A job I’ve never done. The owners managed last year to get the engine running. Now it was time to get a new survey.

I have a lot of respect for the current owners and what they have realised in such a short period.
