24th June 2014 – There was no update for some time. I didn’t buy another boat. I just had a brief holiday and spent time with friends. I have been working on boats for a long period and I realize more then ever that there is more in life then converting boats and keeping my website up-to-date.

21st May 2014 – I’m just to lazy to charge the batteries of my camera, so there are no pictures for the moment…. It is a busy period, working on three boats in my spare time. I have started converting the front of the Watergeus, preparing the Aquarel for mounting the windows and removing the back accommodation on a spits barge.
29th April 2014 – Two church and bible boats have arrived in Bruges. One of them is a Spits barge, the other a klipperaak. I went to see them.
We got a guided tour, a very open community.
19th April 2014 – One day of not working might do me some good. I decided to go to Zeebruges and take pictures, many pictures….

5th January 2014 – I’m in London, walking around, taking pictures and talking to boat people. What else can I want? It is not raining and the temperature is fine.
25th December 2013 – In between meals, drinks and parties, I made a walk in the harbour of Ostend where it all started for me several years ago…
21st December 2013 – Sometimes I do wonder if people know how much work we spend on converting our boats. People buy a boat, start to repair and convert it. During the journey there is a point when you think, is she worth it. Is it worth th effort to spent any more money or energy to the boat. Shouldn’t I just buy another one and send this one to the scrapyard…
Well I had my breaking point the last couple of days. The more I’m working on the Aquarel, the more unpleasant surprises I’m finding…
15th December 2013 – One of my friends and ex-neighbour is at the yard in Zelzate. This was a perfect moment to have a visit and take some pictures of the other boats around Zelzate!
27th October 2013 – I have been working nearly continuously in Beernem on the boat. Today, I went to take some pictures at the yacht harbour in Bruges.
28th September 2013 – Time to go around with my camera again. So many ships ends up at the scrapyard, so many nautical heritage get broken down…. At least I want to save some memories by taking pictures…
22nd September 2013 – We had our harbour days today. In Zeebruges, Ghent and Antwerp you could visit some vessels and company buildings related to the harbour. I decided to go to Antwerp. There were some historical vessels to visit.
7th September 2013 – There was a gathering of some historical ships in Mechelen, followed by a barbecue. it was a great afternoon!
15th August 2013 – Last time I was in Ghent to take pictures must have been last year, around this period. I was working aboard the old coffee shop boat.
I started my day at the Carron yard in Zelzate, followed by the Port Service yard in Ghent and ending on a few more houseboats at the Muide and Voorhavenlaan. It was a nice day!
21st July 2013 – Instead of working on the National Holiday, we did a little trip to Ghent. My neighbour has an old tug, nicely converted into a houseboat. We drove it to Ghent, enjoyed the nice weather and had a lot of fun!
