24th July 2021 – The grass around my neighbour and Tordino is very high. I tried cutting it with an electric brush cutter, but with nearly no success…
My neighbour will buy a heavier one.

20th July 2021 – I now nearly finished a second cupboard of the Jeanne on Tordino. It is made with the remaining panels from the living room of the Jeanne. I was always sure I could use the panelling, only I didn’t know on which boat and when…
17th July 2021 – The stars on the bow of the ship were mounted. On the anchor winch, I mounted the ship’s bell and I finally found some time to hang the life ring on the front deck as well. In the end I hang some new flags. Tordino is shining again with this kind of weather.
15th July 2021 – We had our first of many nocturnes together with the Spaanse tolhuis. It was a great success! Looking forward to have more of these events and projects.
11th July 2021 – Today we had our big jump in Oudenburg, a small event where people jump in the water to promote the clean water. With the little boat of my neighbour we mounted the safety line and I was standby on the boat if something would go wrong…
In the evening we hand another small trip with the vlet…
8th July 2021 – I’m not really working on any of my ships at the moment. The few nice moments, I’m having a drink in Plassendale or making plans for stimulating the tourism here. They days it is raining, I’m scanning my books and magazines in the museum.
So there will be less updates at the moment…
6th July 2021 – When I left for work this morning driving along the Canal, I noticed the sun was shining brightly on the water. This afternoon it changed and it became extremely windy. When now sitting in the hold of Tordino, I hear and feel the wind. It is a bit a scary feeling! The ship is rolling because of the wind, something I never had before with any of my ships. Since Tordino is now 5 meters away from the land side, wind can easily play around….
My battery charger broke, an expensive one that I had just replaced the beginning of December 2020… I hope Victron will replace it. They give 5 years of warranty… A small charger is now running but I know it is not enough for everything.
3rd July 2021 – I had a group of people in the morning and the afternoon was busy as well. In the evening I had some friends coming over. Days like this are passing by quickly. It is now two months we are on the mooring.
28th June 2021 – The pier a bit down the canal was taken by several yachts so the cleaning boat moored alongside, a nice aluminium working craft. Could easily server as a floating bar in my opinion…. Very easy to manoeuvre and a lot of space…
26th June 2021 – It was a busy day with many visitors. I’m happy with the museum running well.
23rd June 2021 – I moved several boxes with books from the Watergeus to Tordino. I also brought the drawers for the cupboard and some wood to make a frame behind the panels.
22nd Jnue 2021 – I mounted the front panels for the cupboard underneath the stairs of Tordino. It are old panels from a spits barge.
21st June 2021 – Rainy and windy, the whole day already. There is not much I can do besides scanning some books and magazines. At least one of the projects continue.
15th June 2021 – Today they mounted the glass panel in the entrance door of the museum!
6th June 2021 : I started in the morning cutting away the remainings of the blue rope in my little lifeboat. I have two wooden paddles so I installed them visible to the public. Then I secured the gangway a little better and started scanning books for the rest of the afternoon.
