7th October 2022 – The online inventory system wasn’t not online, so I could only scan. Sitting behind a computer for a few hours is not longer possible for me, so I mounted a few extra screens for digital content.
5th October 2022 – There was a group of retired police officers that came visiting Tordino in the late afternoon. When they left , I continued scanning and inputting the data into the inventory system…
4th October 2022 – Just did some scanning, mounting frames and cleaning up the museum. Nothing really special, but all jobs that had to be done.
3rd October 2022 – In the evening I went to see a teacher who has roots in the inland waterways. Her whole family were skippers. I left with hundreds of photos, some nice objects and a table from her parents ship.
3rd October 2022 – The Luxe motor Vertrouwen left Plassendale. I managed to take some nice shots of this beatiful vessel.
2nd October 2022 – I scanned over a hundred covers of books I had bought yesterday at the museum.
1st October 2022 – Another maritime event, so I went. This time I visited the Furieade in Maassluis, paid a visit to the museum and met some friends. A Saturday wel spent!
30th September 2022 – I’m planning on using the Stern for a project at the end of the month. I started the engine, but with a nearly flat battery it took some charging time to start. In the end it started an ran nicely. What do I love Lister engines!
I was never happy with the floor I had made in the wheelhouse and the result today was obvious. I ended in the living room, head first… Another item on my todo list for the next couple of months.
29th September 2022 – Another evening of scanning covers of magazines and adding them to Erfgoed in Zicht….
27th September 2022 – I did some scanning yesterday and continued today. After moving the library units, I didn’t want to put back the unscanned magazines, so all I can do now is scanning and scanning… Since it is raining, there are no other jobs to do anyway.
25th September 2022 – I put the remaining cupboards of the Library of the Watergeus in the library of Tordino. It gives an extra storage addition for new books. While rebuilding some parts of the library, I now also have much more space to add new items on Houten walen to the running exhibition.
In the afternoon, we cleaned some of the presentation boxes. Slightly preparing for the next summer!
25th September 2022 – A replica luxe motor barge passed by. It was the British ship Ascension.
23rd September 2022 – I found some time to do a few small jobs aboard Tordino. Two broken computer boxes were replaced, the library is cleaner again and a few lights were added or replaced. I made some space for new cupboards and that’s it for now…
22nd September 2022 – I was just in time to see the tug MarineQuest passing under Plassendale brug.
