8th March 2023 – For the first time in a while there was some snow…
22nd February 2023 – I was just in time to take some pictures of this Luxe Motor…
21st February 2023 – The inland cargo vessel Daniella is still looking more traditional. I was lucky to take some pictures of her while passing my place.
21st February 2023 – The tug Harmonie from Terneuzen passed by
10th February 2023 – I still need to make a front light for Tordino. I have an old rusty lamp that will suit for the job. I gave it a quick brush and sprayed it with Zingha Paint.
9th February 2023 – Finally some time to work on the content of the museum again. Very soon I will need to repaint the ship, but for now it is to cold, so I continue working inside where it is slightly warmer…
8th February 2023 – While working on other projects, I’m starting to lose the feeling and keeping up with the maintenance of Tordino. Next week, several groups are coming and a lot needs to be done. I cleaned the entrance and moved some stuff to my workshop in the harbour.
Labeling the new objects and adding some more explanation will be done on Sunday.
1st February 2023 – I still don’t have much time to work aboard Tordino. I mounted the new mast, it is a metal one. The last one was wood and broke somewhere in October last year.
8th January 2023 – Besides fixing the door of Tordino that was broken, I mainly sat in the Library scanning books and magazines while watching some documentaries about boat life in London.
7th January 2023 – The whole day was spent behind a scanner and laptop. I don’t put an amount or a period when the whole Library will be in the Inventory system. I can just continue and hope to finish soon. If I see how much more work I have , just to do the content. When I walk around the ship, I notice there is a lot of paintwork that needs doing and a yard visit next year… I’m very glad I only have Tordino left. Maybe I’m just becoming old 😉
6th January 2023 – The idea is to scan as many magazine covers as possible this weekend. It is my last free weekend, but today was no success. I added around 40 postcards to the inventory and scanned only 20 covers. I hope the remaining bit of the weekend will be more of a success.
4th January 2023 – It is very windy and the ship is moving in any possible direction. Water is low and there is slack in the ropes. So while shaking, I’m continuing to scan books and postcards for the online Library…
3rd January 2023 – I want to have finsihed scanning the collection of postcards, but there is no end to it. Next week, I’m starting a big project again and I want this to be done. Yesterday I spent most of the afternoon scanning and now in the evening I want to continue. A productive day is around 70 cards. I have over 2000 cards left…
29th December 2022 – After experimenting with my new label machine, I managed to label a dozen of items with a QR-code. The pump is mounted in the library and the remaining time was spent scanning books and magazines. It was probably the most productive day of my holiday.
28th December 2022 – I had some some time left to make a few scans since the new QR-code printer hadn’t arrived as promised by the company.
