9th June 2022: A small but especially nice looking yacht passed by just after lunch time….
8th June 2022 – The old skipper of Tordino borrowed us his archive. I scanned it during the evening, so I have a proper copy for using in the museum. Still surprised to see new pictures from the ship and how beautiful she was between 1978 and 2010.
7th June 2022 – Today we had a visit from the old skipper. He brought us the Ships bell and a painting from Tordino when it was still sailing as Bianca.
6th June 2022 – The third day of inputting scanned cards and information on paddle steamers, ferries and other passenger related boats. I will be happy once this part is done and that I can start working on other subjects and projects aboard Tordino!

2nd June 2022 – An English replica luxe motor passed by. It was common for the English to build a kind of replica Dutch barges. They didn’t get very close in creating a replica but it are nice cruising barges.
2nd June 2022 – We made an evening walk in Ostend. They were dredging the harbour, it reminded me of the old days working on the Musin in the Vuurtorendok when all their equipment was there.
1st June 2022 – It had been a while since I had seen the Milieuboot coming by. It often moored alongside Tordino in Beernem, but now she was on her way to Ostend early in the morning. I was to late to take some pictures, but managed to take some on her way back…
31st May 2022 – I developed a better search engine for my online collection. At the end of the evening, I had seen enough computer screens, so continued labelling the objects in the museum.
30th May 2022: At lunch time, the Voya passed by and in the evening there was a lovely Duch tjalk ‘op Hoop van Zegen’. It is not that busy lately, with the exception of a few yachts.
29th May 2022 – Still unpacking boxes from the Watergeus and discovering nice items that are perfect for the museum. While I have visitors, I listen to their questions and when they are gone, I make labels for objects that are not that clear for everyone. A day well spent aboard Tordino.
In the evening I started cleaning the wheelhouse and added a few nice objects from the Watergeus. I want the wheelhouse to look more traditional. I also need to clean the wheelhouse. I added a lot of stuff last year, but nothing is sorted out yet…
26th May 2022 – While the museum is open, I try to continue working in the library. To get an idea of how much time I spent on scanning and inputting the scans in the inventory: I did 28 documents and 12 postcards.
25th May 2022 – It had been a while since I’ve last seen the Rio Negro coming by.
24th May 2022 – Just some scanning in the evening, I was surprised to scan some books dating back to 2000. It was like yesterday. How quickly some ships can change or get scrapped.
23rd May 2022 : The weather isn’t that great, but several barges where returning home after the event Oostende voor Anker…
