10th March 2012 – The front cabin was used for storing wood, tools and other bigger items. After sorting everything out, It was put in the front storage area or thrown away. A neighbour came to pick up what he could use. The rest is now gone.

2nd March 2012 – Two plates were cut. They will form the sides of the box for the generator. I started welding them as well. It will make it more solid.

27th January 2012 – I had a meeting at the yard for my vessel. I wanted to discuss the price. I was surprised to see that in five years time, the price has gone up a lot! I need to go anyway, so I have no other choice…
22nd January 2012 – It had been a while since I last ran the engine. I found it to become time, so I turned the key and ran the engine for an hour.
16th September 2011 – A friend from England came over with his new yacht. He is moored along the Watergeus for few days.
3rd September 2011 – I did some more work on the bulkhead today while I was filling up my water tanks. In the afternoon I cleaned the fore deck and repainted it. Last year, I put a metal box on deck. One year later, with the dust on deck underneath the box I had a lot of rust.
1st September 2011 – I repainted the bow, adding one white stripe. She is looking nice!
30th August 2011 – I want to mount two portholes in the bow of the ship. It can be good, but it might look wrong as well. I must make sure it doesn’t look like two eyes watching like a fish. Instead of just cutting a hole, I took the little work boat and drawed them on the hull with chalk. I will take the second one, the nearest one to the anchor.
28th August 2011 – I finally started with the bulkhead in the engine room. Since I will bolt the plates first and weld them on a later stage, the main job was drilling holes.
9th August 2011 – I continued cleaning the deck storage and the area around it. Later in the evening I painted everything, some bits a second coat, some of them for the first time.
3rd August 2011 – Near the wheelhouse are two storage units, also called tabernakels. One of them contains my deck pump, the other one is filled with spare ropes. I cleaned one today, painted it and it looks good. I’ll do the other one tomorrow.
27th July 2011 – It has to be done one day, so I just started. Cleaning the remaining 16 meters of gang board. I did around three meters today. When I finished painting, it started raining.
25th June 2011 – For a long period, I’m considering to bring my ship under the new regulations for sailing. This means I need a bulkhead in the engine room. I’m cleaning the area at the moment, measuring and looking where to put ribs, plates, etc…
In the afternoon I filled my water tanks and had a chat aboard the Frantsis. A lot of work has been done aboard the Frantsis!
The same with the Watergeus! I have not been working on her for a period, but the condition changes quickly. I’m glad I did sell the Escapade. It would have been to much work to maintain three vessels.
23rd June 2011 – The last couple of weeks I had not been on board for a long period. I spent most of my time in the Netherlands working on the Hornblower.
While I was in the wheelhouse, checking the back accommodation, I noticed my charger was no longer active. Everything I tried, it didn’t help…
Three years ago I bought an expensive loader from the brand Mastervolt, which was supposed to last a few years, not three!
